Why work with us?  What makes us different?

A genuine passion for excellent customer service:

Having been buyers of Business Psychology services ourselves in large organisations, we also have a very clear understanding of what it’s like to be on the client side.  Knowing what made our life easier as clients allows us to shape our response and delivery to you – we see our role as providing additional support and resources as if we were part of the internal team.

A real drive to understand you, your business and the challenges you face:

We always work in complete partnership with our clients and treat your business as if it were our business.  Our clients consistently say that something that sets us apart is our ability to put ourselves in your shoes and understand what it is you are trying to do and what you need from us.

Flexibility, speed of decision making and response time:

Because we are a small consultancy and are selective with our clients, we can be responsive to your needs and deliver a genuinely personalised and bespoke service.  Nothing is off the shelf, although we do bring cross-sector and cross-client experience with us, so can often provide models, benchmarks, good practice and perspectives from other areas and work we have done if they apply to your situation.

We are not wedded to any off-the-shelf assessment products:

Unlike some of our bigger competitors, we do not have our own branded psychometrics, so we can use the best of what the market has to offer.  We do have our own 360-degree feedback platform, but this is highly customisable and whilst we can offer generic questionnaires for those organisations who do not have their own frameworks or competencies, most of our 360 services are tailored completely to our clients, their needs, their capabilities and their brand.

Strategic partnerships:

We know what we’re good at and we focus on that.  To provide a more holistic approach, though, we are linked with an HR consultancy and a software developer, which means that, where needed, we can provide solutions that tap into these areas of expertise.

Developing internal resources:

One of our central tenets is that we don’t seek to create dependency on our services.  We do aim to operate as a trusted advisor and develop long-term relationships with our clients, but through all our projects we make the best use of internal resources, whenever possible.  Firstly, this can be more cost effective, but it also ensures that critical internal, organisational knowledge is fully leveraged which improves impact and helps to create successful and lasting positive outcomes.  So, through our work, we seek to ensure that people internally can develop the skills, confidence or the knowledge they need to take things forward independently to reduce ongoing costs and build capability.

Measuring impact and value for money:

We are absolutely committed to demonstrating that your investment in your people delivers returns and clear benefits for your business – not all consultancies do this because it is very difficult to measure.  We work with our clients to determine some practical and realistic measures as to what ‘success’ and ‘value’ would look like to you.  What changes do you want to see?  We then tailor our approach with this goal firmly in mind, and evaluate our interventions to demonstrate the impact they have.

Informal, fun, passionate and good to work with:

Our clients consistently tell us that they really enjoy working with us.  It’s not an easy thing to measure in business terms but it makes a difference.  We encourage our clients to provide feedback - some of this is given here and for further feedback on pH7’s Managing Consultant, Debbie Hance, you can view her LinkedIn profile.  When working with you, we will keep checking in with you that we are partnering with you in a way which works for you.  Our ability to work with our clients is probably best demonstrated by the fact that 100% of our business comes from people or organisations with whom we have worked before, from our reputation or from recommendations from our clients.  Finally, our values  underpin everything we do.

Data Protection and Information Security

pH7 Consulting is committed to complying with the highest professional and legal standards, and our Data Protection and Information Security Policies guard against unauthorised or unlawful processing of personal data, and against accidental loss, destruction or damage.  pH7 operates in line with the guidance set out by the Data Protection Act (1998) and is registered for the purposes it serves (registration number PZ6610320).

Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics

We work hard to provide a safe, inclusive and supportive work environment not only for our associates, but also for our client organisations.  We are passionate about supporting the development and learning of emerging talent and actively volunteer to support those coming into the workplace through mentoring and engagement via our professional bodies.  We are also committed to the wise use of technology to reduce waste and minimise our carbon footprint, adopting flexible working policies and travelling only when necessary.
We are dedicated to learning and continued professional development, and we ensure that our associates are appropriately qualified, trained and experienced for the work they undertake.  We are objective, evidence-based, transparent and fair in our decision-making and professional practice, respecting relevant laws, legislation, regulations and policies.
